West Runton Social Club

Water La, West Runton, Cromer NR27 9QP, UK – 07794 058050

I have been walking past this Social Club for many years now being a regular visitor to East Runton. It's always looked interesting but being a little nervous being a visitor and not a local we haven't given it a try. This August we thought we would, being encouraged by the Pool table and my 16 year old son's newly found interest in playing. We were very surprised to be made so welcome by the locals and spent several evenings here, playing pool, having a few drinks, visiting an open mike and catching a local band, at the end of which I had made new friends and almost felt local myself. I wish we had plucked up the courage sooner because it really has been a great experience and I am looking forward to returning again at August Bank Holiday again to catch another local band and to share a beer and banter.

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. More traditional set up. 4 nights with entertainment. Cheap drinks (30% cheaper than the pub).

Sheringham Golf Club

Sweetbriar Ln, Sheringham NR26 8HG, UK – 01263 823488

Love this course. Beautiful views on the day. Some holes were really difficult into the wind. Greens were good. Food yummy! Train toots just as you take your back swing- not always amusing. No red tees!

Great golf course and excellent staff that make you feel really welcome . If you are planning to play golf in Norfolk this is a must. I have played all over the world and this up there for a golf experience. Coastal views, steam train and a challenging course, particularly in the wind.

The Tyneside Club

95 Station Rd, Sheringham NR26 8RG, UK – 01263 822570

Very welcoming as guests. We were able to sign in and had Sunday lunch. Outside space welcome on a beautiful day

Went on a Saturday night it was really busy. Tables were all full. Live music was ok and there is a place to dance. It is a members only club and an older age bracket there. They serve food and cold drinks spirits and pop. We stayed until it closed and it never really died down. With the membership you get cheaper drinks than at the other pubs in Sheringham as well. Cab company was right next door too if you need that. Parking was free across the street as we got there later in the night.

Room was spotless & as I could not get tv to work one of the reception staff came twice to my room & sorted it.
